Most people who reach out for therapy are feeling some level of frustration, either with themselves or someone else. What feels even more frustrating is not being able to figure out how to solve your own problems or get someone else to change their behavior when, in both cases, it seems like the solution is within reach. So what's getting in the way?

It's not that you lack insight, will power, or effort. It's that your brain can't show you the full picture from inside your own perspective: the automatic ways you interpret situations, the things that feel obviously true, the solutions that seem logical—these all come from the same viewpoint that created the problem in the first place.

My role is to offer a different vantage point—not because mine is right and yours is wrong, but because I'm not you. I can see things from outside your perspective, which means I might notice tensions you can't see from where you're standing, ask questions you wouldn't think to ask yourself, and help you understand the patterns in a way that actually makes them possible to change.

The most common reaction after a productive session isn't confidence or clarity—it's compassion for yourself. Usually something like: "No wonder I couldn't figure this out. I wasn't even aware of half of what was going on."

I hold master's degrees in counseling and sociology (social psychology and culture specialization) and have worked across the corporate, non-profit, and academic sectors.

What's your therapeutic approach?

My work focuses on understanding—why you're stuck, what patterns keep repeating, how your mind creates obstacles you can't see. Rather than prescriptive action steps, we explore the underlying dynamics driving your experiences so you can develop genuine insight and agency.

How does payment work for the first session?

I know how it can feel like a waste of money to spend $150-200 on multiple therapists when you don't even know if you'll work well together. So for the first session, you decide whether to pay. If you want to continue working together, I'll expect payment for that initial session along with a request to schedule another session. If it's not a good fit, just let me know you don't want to proceed and that's that—no payment required.

What kinds of issues do you work with?

I work with individuals and couples dealing with life transitions, relationship challenges, identity questions, and recurring patterns they want to understand better. Some clients are navigating expat life or cultural adjustment—I understand that experience personally. But the work applies broadly to anyone trying to make sense of why they keep getting stuck in the same patterns or why life doesn't feel the way they thought it would.

Do you take insurance?

Payment is out-of-pocket, and I can provide receipts for your records.

Where are you located? Do you meet in person?

Sessions are conducted remotely via secure video call, which allows me to work with clients internationally. This also means scheduling across time zones is possible.
